Little Daredevil

You know how I’ve said in the past that Joshua is a crazy child? A bit of a daredevil?

I give you Exhibit A. (Sorry it’s a bit blurry; I caught him and happened to have my cell phone in my hand at the time, so I snapped this and then ran to take him out.)

That dresser is not bolted to the wall — it’s crossed my mind that he might use the drawer fronts as ladder rungs, but never in a million years did I imagine that he’d open the drawers and use the clothing inside to push himself up to the top drawer.

Or that he’d sit in that drawer and go through my makeup bag.

I totally get the fascination with my cosmetics; what’s all this stuff Mommy puts on her face? I also understand his toddler-slash-monkey-slash-boy need to climb things. But doing both at the same time? That’s a new one, for me at least. I think I might give Joshua some of my old makeup brushes to play with, since he’s so interested in them. The makeup itself, not so much: that stuff isn’t cheap and it would make an enormous powder-and-wax mess that I’m not particularly excited to clean up (though if you’ve read my past posts you know that the idea of my two-year-old son applying my makeup to his face doesn’t actually bother me). He’ll have to settle for a compact mirror, but I doubt he’ll mind.

Looks like I’ve got something new to nag The Hubby about!

Honey, if you’re reading this, please fix our bedroom door…even if it’s only temporary, since I know you want to redo all the doors…so this will stop happening. Love you!

What’s the craziest thing your child has ever done?

He open the lower drawers and stepped on the clothes inside to boost himself up.

    You need the cabinet locks…lol.
